Meet Jamie Parganos
Kids: Alex & Leo
Age: 39 Years
CEO & Founder Jamie Parganos started Mommy Hacks with a purpose: to help mothers feel more super. In a world where moms are often overworked and undersupported, Jamie set out to create a carefully packaged toolkit to help mothers be in their power and win at parenting.
As a mom of two little ones, Jamie finds herself constantly devising hacks and clever ways to simplify or enhance everyday parenting activities like going out to eat, getting into the car, bath time, etcetera. Now, you can get these kid tested, mom approved hacks delivered straight to your doorstep.
In a culture where mom-shaming is not uncommon, where there are spaces online where moms get bashed for practicing one parenting methodology over another, Jamie saw another need: a safe space for mothers to share their knowledge and experience. So she created the Wonder Mommy blog and uses it as a platform where super moms with unique strengths are honored and uplifted.
Before founding her companies, she worked as a program director for non-profits in the New York City public school system. A mom who wears many hats, Jamie is also a professional singer. She lives in Queens with her two children, ages 3-years-old and 11 months.
Who is Wonder Mommy?
It’s me. It’s you. It’s that woman at the deli who has a screaming toddler under one arm, is hoisting two gallons of milk onto the counter with the other, and is conducting an interview on her cellphone which is propped between her shoulder and her ear. Great Scott! This truly is a job for a superhero.
The beauty of being a Wonder Mommy is that we don’t have to wear the cape all the time. In fact, I’ve designed Mommy Hacks to help streamline regular parenting activities so that you can be more present and engaging with your children (and with yourself, too).
If You’ve Ever Wondered…
How do I instill good values in my child?
How do I hold onto my full identity even when motherhood demands so much of me?
How can I “find time” to work on my career or my relationships?
Exactly when will my breasts stop hurting?
Find the answers to these questions and more on the Wonder Mommy blog!

Throwing Fences: Active Parenting Is Active Loving
I wonder if it is true that if parenting is easy, we are doing it wrong. Not that there aren’t easy moments when everyone is happy, productive, relaxed and caring. It is just that I believe these moments don’t happen by accident. They happen from hard work—gut wrenching, soul-searching, value-testing hard work. It’s called active…
On Becoming A Single Mom
It’s been a while since I’ve been able to speak about being a mother. When my relationship with my children’s father fell apart last summer, I felt like I had lost my family. I felt like a bad mother. I felt like I failed my children. I did everything I could to raise my children well…
What about Me? Notes from a Sibling of a Chronically Ill Child
My older brother Adam was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis – a chronic genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system – when he was a toddler. I don’t remember it because I was a newborn at the time, but my mom always likes to joke about how, when they got his diagnosis, she looked…
